Walk & Talk Therapy

Sometimes, the thought of sitting across from someone in an office and talking about your feelings can feel like a lot. Maybe you think better when you’re moving, feel more comfortable outdoors, or simply need a change of scenery. If your mind tends to do its best processing somewhere other than a couch, walk-and-talk therapy might be a good fit.

Walk-and-talk therapy combines traditional psychotherapy with the grounding experience of being outdoors. During our sessions, we’ll walk together while exploring the thoughts, emotions, and experiences you’re working through. We’ll make space for the big feelings, the complicated questions, and those moments when you say, “I’ve never really thought about it that way before.” No pressure to make eye contact the entire time, and no expectation that you arrive with your thoughts neatly organized.

This approach can be especially helpful if you’re navigating life transitions, managing stress, exploring boundaries, or working through relationship challenges. Moving at a comfortable pace and spending time in nature can offer a refreshing setting for reflection, although walk-and-talk therapy is still therapy—and the meaningful work happens through our conversations, not just the steps we take.

Sessions are conducted outdoors at agreed-upon locations, with attention to privacy, comfort, accessibility, and weather conditions. Walk-and-talk therapy is offered as a self-pay service. You don’t need to be a fitness enthusiast, own fancy walking shoes, or have your life together before showing up. Just bring yourself, and we’ll take it one step at a time.
